The Story Behind This Sadhana – From Linga Purana
According to Linga Purana, once Devi Parvati had a strong desire to have a child, but Mahadev was in deep meditation and ignored her request. One day when Parvati did not stop insisting, Shiva finally took a red cloth and told her – hold this cloth to your chest like a child.
Initially Parvati was hesitant, but on Shiva’s stern instruction she did so. And by the power of Shiva-Shakti Sankalpa, that red cloth itself transformed into a child – Shri Ganesh.
This is the tattva of this Sadhana. A red cloth, when energized with the mantra of Rakta Peetha Bhagavati, becomes a living womb for your wish. It absorbs your sankalpa and materializes it.
What is Rakta Peetha Sadhana?
Rakta means Red – the color of creation, blood, Shakti and Mangal. Peetha means the Seat of Power. Bhagavati Parvati in her Rakta Peetha form is 16 years old, reddish in complexion, smiling, with Vara and Abhaya Mudra, adorned in red clothes and red sindoor.
This Sadhana has to be done separately for every single wish. Once the wish is fulfilled, the old red cloth is immersed in flowing water. If your wish is for a lifetime – like a stable marriage, a house, or a child – you can keep the same Siddha cloth and repeat the Sadhana every 3, 6 or 12 months to recharge it.
The Vastu Science Behind This Sadhana
Why does this Sadhana work so fast? Because every step is pure Vastu:
1. Why Red Cloth?
In Vastu, Red is the color of the South Zone (Mangal), which governs courage, vitality and fulfillment of desires. Red Silk/Cotton holds energy. In physics, red has the longest wavelength – it holds sankalpa the longest.
2. Why Facing East?
The Sadhana is done facing East. East is the zone of Indra, of new beginnings and Surya’s first rays. Any manifestation done facing East gets divine support.
3. Why Red Woolen Asan and Wooden Chowki?
Woolen asan acts as an insulator so your japa energy doesn’t go into the earth. Wooden chowki represents Prithvi Tattva – stability. Placing red rice (Akshat mixed with kumkum) on it creates an Annapurna Peetha – abundance.
4. Why Hold The Cloth Near Your Heart / Diaphragm?
In Vastu and Yoga, the Anahata and Manipura chakra is the center of Ichha Shakti. When you hold the energized cloth near your diaphragm with left hand covered by right, your heart’s frequency transfers into the cloth.
Vastu-Aligned Vidhi for VastuDharma Sadhaks
Sadhana Articles: Fresh new red cloth (silk, satin or cotton), pure ghee lamp, incense, red flowers (Hibiscus/Rose), red woolen asan, red rice grains (Akshat colored with kumkum), red sandalwood paste, turmeric, kumkum, red fruit like pomegranate or red sweets.
Best Muhurta to Start: Any first Monday of Shukla Paksha (Bright Fortnight) or on Mrigashira Nakshatra. Monday is Moon – Lord of Mind and Emotions. Any wish born from mind gets fulfilled on Moon’s day.
Procedure:
- Take bath, wear fresh red clothes. In your Ishan Kona (Northeast) or East zone, place a wooden chowki and cover it with a red cloth.
- Make a small mound of red rice grains and place your new red cloth (the wish-cloth) on it.
- Do your preliminary Guru-Ganesh Puja.
- Meditate on Rakta Peetha Bhagavati Parvati – the ever 16-year-old, compassionate Mother in red.
- Worship the wish-cloth with red sandalwood, turmeric, kumkum, red rice, red flowers, incense, ghee lamp and red sweets.
- Now pray for ONE clear wish. Take the cloth in your left hand, cover it with your right hand, and hold it near your heart center.
- Chant the Mantra 1008 times:
॥ ॐ नमो भगवती रक्तं पीठं नमः ॥
Om Namo Bhagavati Raktam Peetham Namah
Do this for 7 continuous days. On the 7th day, hold the cloth to your chest, close your eyes and vividly visualize your wish as already fulfilled. Feel gratitude.
This completes the Sadhana.
Where to Keep the Siddha Cloth As Per Vastu? This is Most Important
The energy you have created must be stored correctly, otherwise it will dissipate:
- For Wealth, Job, Business Growth Wish: Keep the folded Siddha cloth in your North Zone (Kuber) or in your Tijori / Locker.
- For Marriage, Relationship, Stability Wish: Keep it in the Southwest Zone (Nairitya) – the zone of relationships and permanence.
- For Child Birth (Santana Prapti) Wish: Keep it in the West Zone, or in your bedroom’s Southwest corner in a clean, sacred box.
- For House/Property Wish: Keep it in the Southwest zone of your house.
- For Protection & Removal of Obstacles: Keep it in your Puja room in the Northeast.
The place must be clean, sanctified, and high. Never keep it on the floor, near shoes, or in a cluttered area.
3 Vastu Precautions from VastuDharma
- One Cloth, One Wish: Never use the same cloth for 2 different wishes. It creates energy confusion.
- Ishan Kona Must Be Clean: If your Northeast is blocked, has a toilet or dustbin, manifestation will be blocked. Clean it before starting Sadhana.
- Immersing After Fulfillment: After your wish is fulfilled, thank the Goddess and immerse the cloth in flowing water (Jal Tattva) with gratitude. Do not throw it in dustbin.
